As promised, here is a ton of pictures from this years spring break trip to Gatlinburg, TN.
Downtown Gatlinburg

Cades Cove
Cades Cove is a landmark near Gatlinburg. If you are planning to make a trip here, I highly suggest at least driving through Cades Cove. The beauty of this place cannot be captured in any single picture. This is where most people will run into bear, deer, turkey, and all the things nature has to offer. There are a TON of trails to hike (short and long) that lead to waterfalls and mountain tops. This is the first time out of all of the years I have gone that it actually snowed. It is definitely the perfect spot to get away and not have any worries. *plus* no cell service!!

Here's a picture of God showing off one of his many talents.

One of the trails lead to this waterfall.

An old mill, that is still running today. When we went in, they were making corn meal.

The oldest church we came across was Baptist.

This is the inside of the Methodist church. This was my favorite out of the three we went in. It felt so alive. It was so bright inside, and the simple cross hanging in the middle gave me chills.

View from the altar at the Methodist church. the Bible you see was someone that had passed and on of their loved ones donated it to the church. There were bibles in all three of the churches. Some donated, and some were there filled with verses highlighted and encouraging words left by people passing through.

The graveyard next to the Methodist church. Some of these date back to the 1800's.

This was the newer Methodist church out of the three we went in.
Miscellaneous

I wish I could capture just how beautiful the smokeys are, but pictures do not do them justice. We are so blessed to have places like this to go and enjoy. I was so happy that it snowed the majority of the time we were there, it was like icing on the cake. The view we had is indescribable. No amount of words could express just how beautiful it was. When it got dark, I could look outside my window and see downtown Gatlinburg lit up. I think it's safe to say I would much rather be in the mountains than the beach during spring break.
I hope you enjoyed these pictures!! See you real soon.
